A brother lost. A family torn. A heart broken. These are the faces of suicide in Idaho. Our suicide rate stands consistently higher than the national average. For our young people ages 15 to 34, suicide is the second leading cause of death. The odds are that you have already been touched by the pain of suicide.
SPAN Idaho is a statewide organization dedicated to providing leadership for suicide prevention in Idaho. SPAN stands for Suicide Prevention Action Network. We are an affiliate of SPAN USA, a prominent and well-respected national organization promoting suicide prevention at the national and international level.
SPAN Idaho is a grass roots nonprofit organization. We are built on more than a decade of energy and experiences of those familiar with the pain of suicide. We welcome and encourage involvement and participation of all members of the Idaho community. We are determined to make a difference.
