History
The SPAN Idaho South Central Chapter became active in 2004 conducting a very successful suicide prevention conference that summer.

Activities

In 2005, The Chapter developed their own regional Suicide Prevention Plan for South Central Idaho. The Chapter has been implementing key elements of the plan over time including awareness campaigns involving prevention billboards, radio spots and PSAs. In 2007, the Chapter conducted a Suicide Prevention and Depression Summit at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. The group is planning another summit for 2009. The group conducted another successful summit in April of 2009.

The South Central Chapter holds regular meetings the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at Canyon View, St. Luke’s Magic Valley, 228 Shoup Ave. W, in the West Group Room.
